PEEK is the polymer you spec when the polymer has to do a metal's job. Here are the 5 industrial applications where the cost is the right answer, not a question.

1. Hot oil and gas downhole

Downhole tools see 150-200 C and aggressive chemistry. PEEK is one of the few polymers that holds strength and chemical resistance for the multi-year service window. Used for: sensor housings, encapsulation, control line tubing.

2. Semiconductor wet process

Hot acid baths, ultra-pure water, plasma exposure. PEEK's purity and chemical resistance keep the wafer line clean where metals would outgas or corrode. Used for: fluid handling tubes, fitting bodies, sensor holders.

3. Aerospace wire and harness

260 C continuous at altitude, weight pressure from the airframer, fire-smoke-toxicity rules. PEEK is one of the few polymers that passes aerospace electrical and FST specs. Used for: high-temperature wire insulation, harness sleeves, connector bodies.

4. Medical analysis and diagnostics

PEEK is the standard for HPLC and lab fluid lines - chemical inertness, low extractables, biocompatible grades available. Used for: chromatography tubing, lab-on-a-chip manifolds.

5. EV and e-axle

Gearbox oil at 120-150 C, electric field, vibration, 15-year life. PEEK replaces aluminum in pump bodies, seal holders, and high-temperature sleeves. Used for: e-axle sleeves, oil pump components, sensor bodies.
