How to Make Fusible Links with Fabric

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to make fusible links using fabric.scraps. You’ll also learn about the different types of fusibles available .

Fusible webbing is used in many craft projects, including quilts, clothing, and home decor items. It’s easy to use and comes in a variety of colors and patterns.

Cut out your fabric pieces.

To start, cut out two rectangles measuring 3″ x 5″. Then, cut one rectangle into three equal strips. Next, fold each strip in half lengthwise and iron flat.

Now, take one of the folded strips and place it right sides together with the other folded strip. Sew across the middle using a 1/4″ seam allowance. Repeat with the remaining strips until you’ve sewn them all together.

Iron them together.

Now, take one of the folded pieces and place it on top of another piece so that the raw edges meet. Fold the bottom edge up and press down firmly. Repeat this process until you’ve made a chain of five pieces.

Fusible webbing is used to join fabric together, making it easier to sew seams without fraying. You’ll find it at most sewing stores, but if you’re looking for some online options, try Amazon.com.

Fold over the edges of the fabric and press down firmly.

Once you’ve folded the fabric, place the iron directly on top of the seam and hold it there until the fabric has fused together. Repeat this process for each piece of fabric.

Fusing fabrics together creates a strong bond between them, making it easier to sew pieces together. You’ll find fusibles at most sewing stores, but if you’re looking for something a little different, try using a hot glue gun instead. Just be sure to use a heat-resistant surface such as wood or plastic.
