Common questions

What wall thickness can you hold on vulcanized fiber fuse tubes?

On small-diameter thin-wall sections we typically hold +/-0.05 mm on ID and OD, depending on diameter and whether the tube is rolled or machined. Send the drawing and we will confirm manufacturability and tolerance before quoting.

Can you meet IEC 60269 fuse dimensions?

Yes. We manufacture to the dimensioned drawing you supply, including IEC 60269 body lengths and end-cap geometries. We do not assume a standard size — the drawing is the spec.

Which material for high-voltage fuse tubes?

Ceramic-filled epoxy glass and synthetic arc-quenching composites are used for MV/HV where track resistance and arc containment matter. Vulcanized fiber remains the default for many LV cylindrical links. Material is selected against voltage, clearing energy and operating temperature.

Is vulcanized fiber suitable for arc-facing fuse applications?

No. For arc-facing surfaces, use ceramic-filled epoxy glass, melamine or synthetic arc-quenching composites. Vulcanized fiber is for non-arc-facing mechanical bodies and end caps.

Can you supply COA and batch traceability?

Every batch is traceable to the incoming material certificate. Material COA, first-article inspection (FAI), in-process checks and final inspection reports are supplied per your plan on request.
