Top-of-range 26/35kV cold shrink terminations and joints for renewable collector systems and substations. Highest electrical stress, tightest installation repeatability.
35kV cold shrink accessories sit at the top of the medium-voltage range, covering 26/35kV systems used on wind and solar collector circuits, substations and utility transmission spurs. At this voltage the electrical stress is high enough that small installation variations become reliability problems, so the build leans hardest on factory-formed geometry and a repeatable, heat-free seat.
This is the highest-priority line in the development plan because the technical barrier is real and the buyers -- renewable EPC, wind balance-of-system suppliers, substation EPC and utility procurement -- qualify on project approval and supply lead time as much as on price. We approach it as a country-by-country pool of EPC, MV cable and switchgear accounts rather than a commodity list.

At 35kV the partial-discharge margin is thin. A cold-shrink body carries a moulded, quad-layer stress-control geometry that does not depend on field taping, and it seats with constant radial pressure and no heat. Against a premoulded termination the trade is simpler logistics and no specialist crimp/jointing skill; against heat shrink the trade is no flame and a far more repeatable result on critical feeders.
The stress-control geometry is fixed in the body, but 35kV leaves little tolerance for cable-preparation error. We size bodies by cable OD, supply a clear screen-cutoff and seal-seating procedure, and support project approval with consistent documentation. The objective is that the hundredth joint looks like the first.
We state the control plan with you. Batch traceability links the raw rubber lot to the finished part and the test record.
For 12/20kV distribution feeders.
For mining and industrial 20kV class.
Pair with 35kV switchgear busbar insulation.
Typically a poorly finished stress-control region or a body seated on the wrong cable OD. A moulded stress cone and correct sizing remove the main causes.
Cold shrink avoids the specialist jointing skill and logistics of premoulded parts while keeping a moulded stress geometry. Premoulded can offer marginally tighter tolerance for fixed designs.
Typically 95 mm2 to 800 mm2 copper or aluminium XLPE, selected by outer diameter.
IEEE 404, EN 50068, CENELEC HD 628 and IEC 60250 are common; GB/T 22794 for Chinese projects.
Lead time depends on approval status and volume. Utility and substation projects qualify first, then order against the approved body.
