Double-Wall (Adhesive-Lined) Heat-Shrink Tube

Inner adhesive layer seals out moisture on cable and harness joints. Double-wall tube carries an inner melt adhesive that flows on shrink to seal the joint against moisture and debris. Used on harness and cable transitions. We supply it in the diameter and shrink ratio for your cable bundle, with the adhesive rated to the environment. Yes. On shrink the inner layer flows to fill the joint and seal

Applications by industry

Why crosslinked polyolefin + hot-melt adhesive for this application

The adhesive liner melts and bonds to the cable as the sleeve shrinks, creating a sealed, waterproof joint that a plain sleeve (which only grips) can't give in wet service.

Confirm temperature rating vs service heat, and that the adhesive matched the jacket (some jackets resist the liner). Avoid over-heating that rots the liner bond.

Standards: UL 224 (VW-1) / CSA, ISO 6722 (automotive).

Not suitable for [application mismatch — state your duty: voltage class, arc exposure, continuous temperature and chemical environment]. We flag the correct grade during engineering review.

Feature and remaining-wall review

Cut to length before installation; dual-wall adhesive lined requires controlled heat profile for proper flow. Review feature depth, edge distance and remaining wall against critical geometries. Capability is confirmed on your drawing, not from a blanket tolerance.

Material conditioning may be required for dimensional stability — specify humidity and temperature exposure.

Inspection and traceability

We state the control plan with you. Batch traceability links raw material lot to finished part.

Common questions

What recovery temperature is needed?

Standard polyolefin recovers at 90–135 °C. PTFE at 300–400 °C. Match the recovery temperature to your assembly heat profile.

Is it RoHS and REACH compliant?

Yes. All standard grades comply with RoHS 2011/65/EU and REACH 1907/2006. Certificates supplied per batch.

Can heat-shrink be printed?

Yes — identification bands, logos and warnings printed before or after shrink. Ask for print area and ink compatibility.

What wire sizes does it fit?

ID from 0.2 mm to 200 mm flat wall, 3 mm to 300 mm dual-wall. Refer to the sizing chart on the product page.

Does the adhesive seal water?

ID from 0.2 mm to 200 mm flat wall, 3 mm to 300 mm dual-wall. Refer to the sizing chart on the product page.
