Power Cable Heat-Shrink Tubing (1 kV / 10 kV / 35 kV)

Joint and termination sleeve rated across LV and MV cable voltages. Power-cable shrink tubing covers joints and terminations from 1 kV through 35 kV. We supply the rated wall and recovery for the cable voltage class. Material, shrink ratio and color are matched to the cable and the joint design. Tell us the voltage and we size the wall. Match the sleeve voltage to the cable system voltage (1/10/35

Applications by industry

Why crosslinked polyolefin for this application

Crosslinked sleeves recover tightly over cable OD and terminations, restoring jacket integrity and phase identity where a tape patch would lift under flex.

Confirm shrink ratio and operating temperature vs the cable rating. Barbs or sharp armour edges must be padded or they punch the sleeve.

Standards: UL 224 / IEEE 404, IEC 60502.

Not suitable for [application mismatch — state your duty: voltage class, arc exposure, continuous temperature and chemical environment]. We flag the correct grade during engineering review.

Feature and remaining-wall review

Cut to length before installation; dual-wall adhesive lined requires controlled heat profile for proper flow. Review feature depth, edge distance and remaining wall against critical geometries. Capability is confirmed on your drawing, not from a blanket tolerance.

Material conditioning may be required for dimensional stability — specify humidity and temperature exposure.

Inspection and traceability

We state the control plan with you. Batch traceability links raw material lot to finished part.

Common questions

What recovery temperature is needed?

Standard polyolefin recovers at 90–135 °C. PTFE at 300–400 °C. Match the recovery temperature to your assembly heat profile.

Is it RoHS and REACH compliant?

Yes. All standard grades comply with RoHS 2011/65/EU and REACH 1907/2006. Certificates supplied per batch.

Can heat-shrink be printed?

Yes — identification bands, logos and warnings printed before or after shrink. Ask for print area and ink compatibility.

What wire sizes does it fit?

ID from 0.2 mm to 200 mm flat wall, 3 mm to 300 mm dual-wall. Refer to the sizing chart on the product page.

Which voltage class do I order?

ID from 0.2 mm to 200 mm flat wall, 3 mm to 300 mm dual-wall. Refer to the sizing chart on the product page.
