Beech is dense enough to hold a smooth turned finish and stays straight in dry service, so the sticks seat correctly when used as coffin sticks in fuse packing or as tooling handles.
Wood dimensionally moves with humidity. Not for structural electrical insulation. Confirm moisture content, diameter tolerance and any varnish finish required.
